Shelby

  • Age: 2 years old
  • Breed: Domestic short hair
  • Colour: Black and white
  • Gender: Male

Shelby is a very friendly affectionate live wire of a young cat. Always on the move looking for love from people. He and his feline sister were signed over into RSPCA care as previously owned cats. Shelby is a very, very affectionate cat who absolutely loves lots of human attention. He gets very excitable at the prospect of being fussed over with lots of strokes and cuddles but not picked up. Within branch care it appears that Shelby barely notices other cats because he is so distracted to get people’s attention, so it is a consideration for new owners to be at home a lot and suitable for a family with older children who have the time and energy to offer who are able to read the signs when Shelby could be getting over stimulated and not get overwhelmed with his appetite for lots of fuss. Currently advised to be adopted as the only pet within the household. Shelby is a bundle of energy, not overly playful with toys and super affectionate.

About Adoption

To reserve an animal after viewing a deposit of £25 is required. Please note we do not have card payment facilities so cash or cheque only please.

Bringing an animal into your home can be one of the most rewarding experiences in life, particularly if adopting from an animal rescue centre. Animal welfare is at the heart of the RSPCA’s work and as such we want all potential owners to give considerable thought to the kind of animal they wish to adopt and whether it will fit into their existing lifestyle.
