Ebony was rescued by RSPCA inspectors because he was cooped up in unacceptable cramped conditions and being used as a breeding cat. As a result of his past treatment understandably Ebony is hesitant and nervous with people to start with, but he is not aggressive. He responds well to being stroked and with gentle encouragement he gains the courage, good will and curiosity to come out of his initial grumpy state, to watch you and explore his surroundings and then tentatively warms up to the idea of company and affection. The RSPCA East Berks team are helping Ebony with extra socialising time and progress has already been made to gain his trust. We are hopeful that Ebony is a friendly cat who just needs some time to settle with a suitable new owner to help him on his journey to enjoying a new life in his forever home. As such Ebony is suited to experienced cat owners.
