Athos was rescued by the RSPCA from a multi cat household where he had lived in one room amongst other numerous cats, with minimal human interaction. Here within RSPCA East Berkshire branch, it is clear that Athos finds the environment quite overwhelming so far. He is very timid but not aggressive. Some of the cat cuddling volunteers have successfully started to socialise Athos and he stays in his bed whilst being stroked. Based on his past of living in close proximity with other cats, it is likely that Athos will cohabit well with another friendly cat. It is early days in terms of observing how Athos develops into his true character – he may come out of his shell very well and it is looking hopeful. Athos would thrive within a calm and loving home environment to experienced cat owners who can take Athos on his terms and encourage him to become more confident and used to human interaction.
